Hope For Diplomacy to Counter North Korea Threat

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson struck a different chord on North Korea , saying the United States is ready to have the first meeting with Pyongyang “without preconditions.” But the chief U.S. diplomat also said there would need to be a period of quiet — without additional nuclear and missile tests — before talks could commence in earnest.
